Chandler is a stunning, one year old Portuguese Podengo.

He was left in my garden, with his brother, at only 4 weeks of age - Chandler is now just over 17kg but I think he has a little more growing to do.

Chandler gets on well with people and dogs of all sizes, he's really sweet, playful and loving.

He is amazingly calm for a Podengo, he loves going for walks and gets very vocal when he's excited!

He needs some leash work because he pulls (health issues prevent me from doing this at the moment) but he loves walking, he's well behaved in the dog park too.

Chandler's brother is already in Montreal so it would be wonderful if they could have the chance to meet up again.- he was really depressed when Joey left.

Chia is a 6 year old mini Podengo mix. She is the sweetest, most gentle, loving little dog who deserves the absolute best of everything.

Let down by local people and authorities, this tiny 4.5kg dog spent days in agonising labour, suffered a ruptured uterus which then resulted in a life threatening infection.

She was finally rescued by tourists after they contacted me.

The vet said if she hadn't been brought in that evening, she would have died!

Now she's looking for a special family to give her all the love she deserves.

Sweet little Chia is currently with a foster dad and loving all the attention and walks on the beach. Her confidence is growing by the day

She gets on well with other dogs and plays well with the other small ADR dogs but she's shy with new people.

Lucy is a 7 year old mini Pod mix.

She was left behind in the public shelter for several months after her puppies were adopted and she looked so sad I went to rescue her.

She was terrified of people when she first arrived but now asks to be stroked

Lucy weighs around 8kg, she's calm most of the time but still has bursts of energy.

Lucy is a run risk so needs a secure garden.

Taz is an 8 year old Pinscher, he still has bursts of energy, he loves to be outside in the sunshine or snuggled inside with the pups or Hope.

Taz is a very anxious, stressed little dog who obviously had a difficult life until being rescued. He needs a quiet home and lots of cuddles to make him feel safe. He gets on well with the small female dogs but can't be with another male.

Annabelle is the most amazingly resilient dog - she is a 9 year old Labrador used for breeding - she had her last litter at 7 years of age at which point she was deemed too old and discarded. The last photo shows the horrendous condition she was in when she was rescued almost two years ago.

She was kept, until this point, in a small concrete space where she sat in her own pee which caused burns and fur loss, she had lost fur due to stress and had also lost the end of her tail (cause unknown)

Despite this appalling neglect, Annabelle has retained the gentle, loving, playful Labrador character

All the ADR pups adore her, all the traumatised dogs are drawn to her because of her gentle confidence.

Annabelle deserves the best life can offer in her final years for all the suffering she endured. She deserves a sofa to sleep on and daily walks, toys, chews, balls to chase and so much love.

Annabelle has no ongoing health issues other than a grain allergy.

Elsa is a 5 month old Spaniel mix.

She's a happy, confident, friendly pup that is well socialised.

She's house trained, good with dogs and people.

Elsa's foster family have done an amazing job raising her since she was a couple of days old, her brother and sister were both adopted but nobody wants this cute little pup.

Elsa has cherry eye but she will have surgery before she's adopted - the vet advised us to wait until she was a little older.

If I had space for one more dog then Celine would stay

Celine is a one year old fila/Podengo mix - she inherited the sweet, gentle fila character and face shape and Podengo colouring and longer legs.

She is the most gentle, loving dog, she is confident at home and now gets excited to meet visitors.

Celine is very laid back most of the time, she sleeps on my bed, rolls over for belly rubs when I wake up then stays in bed until I'm ready to go downstairs.

Madison is a one year old Podengo mix.

She's very loving, cuddly, energetic and playful.

She's very confident at home and on walks, she is excited to meet visitors but wary of new people outside the home.

Madison sleeps on my bed and loves to cuddle, she gets on well with other dogs but likes to be the boss.

Zoe was handed in to one of the public shelters around 6 months ago with 5, two day old puppies - I was asked to take her and collected her later the same day.

Sadly, the smallest pup died a few days later, the remaining pups were string and healthy and we're all adopted by 4 months of age.

As usual, mama dog was left behind.

Zoe is a sweet, friendly, playful 2 year old mixed breed, weighing around 8kg.

Zoe loves people and dogs - she loves to snuggle with her humans and all the ADR dogs and pups love her.

Ivy is a 3 month old mixed breed, she only weighs around 3.5kg.

Ivy may be small but she has a big personality, she's energetic, friendly and playful. Ivy enjoys helping in the garden, stealing shoes and taking long naps in the sunshine.

Reena is a 4 month old, small mixed breed pup.

Reena was already timid when she arrived here at 8 weeks and she's still shy with new people. She is a happy, playful pup and she loves to play with the other dogs and pups.

Finn is the largest pup from the horribly neglected litter of puppies, he's currently with foster until next month due to lack of space - Finn weighs around 4kg, he's, sweet, cuddly and playful but shy with new people.

Finn is likely to be around 12kg.

Jerry is almost 5 months old now, he's going to be medium size.

He's very playful and loves to cuddle, he loves people and gets on well with all the ADR dogs.

Jerry is crate trained and is clean all night. He's a smart pup and he learns quickly.

Carlos is one of five pups rescued from terrible conditions.

He's 4 months old, he has a great character and a cute underbite. 

He's a very playful, happy pup. He follows me everywhere and likes to get involved in whatever I'm doing.

Carlos is a confident, cuddly pup, he gets on very well with all the other dogs and loves people too.

He's likely to be around 10-12kg.

Lula is a one year old Poodle mix, she's house trained and knows several commands already (sit, stay, come..)

Lula is very sweet and cuddly.

Lula was adopted last year but sadly, the other family dog has decided he doesn't like her.

She'll be assessed when she comes back to ADR but she doesn't have much choice about getting along with other dogs here

Badger is a one year old, small mixed breed, possibly a Frenchie cross. He has obviously been abused and was very scared of being picked up His confidence is growing though, he plays well with the other small dogs and pups and loves to cuddle.

Toby is a 10 month old mixed breed weighing around 12kg - he was surrendered by his owner.

Toby follows me around like a shadow, he craves love and attention. He is house training quickly and learning to be in a crate at night.

Toby is energetic and playful, he is learning not to bark for attention, he loves to meet new people and he's good with the other dogs.
